Willow Smith is gorgeous as Stance Socks' new muse

Song: Waves of Nature Album title: ARDIPITHECUS

Willow Smith, the girl so many of us wish we'd been brave enough to be as an adolescent, is the newest muse for Stance Socks' "Miss Dazey" collection.

"Designing socks is very interesting because they are items of clothing that aren’t seen a lot," the 15-year-old singer-songwriter told Vogue.

For me, socks can emit energy through you—even if nobody sees them. They have a message on them that radiates through your entire being . . . at least for me they do.

Most of us have never imagined that our socks might be emanating an energy radiating through our entire being.

But then, most of us never imagined that Jaden Smith would be the face of Louis Vuitton's Spring 2016 collection.

And those two things are of no relation, save, if there's anything we've learned from the Smith siblings, it's to expect the unexpected.

Modern clothes for modern children is même’s mission statement. A far cry from the standard kidswear offerings, même offers a catalog of gender neutral clothing aimed at ages 1-10. Intended to be shared between brothers and sisters, the clothing also utilizes elongated, looser cuts in a practical manner, as kids will not outgrow the clothing in such concrete terms. The brand is also partnered with Seattle based organization Art With Heart, and 10% of each purchase will be donated to the cause of using creativity to inspire possibilities. Meet Alexis Casson, creator of “The Peculiar Kind”
Khafra Co. Style Story

It’s been awhile since we’ve had a good style story ! Lucky for us, we’re back with a fantastic one! Basic bio –> She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY, has a small Shih Tzu named Ellie Munkin Fat and can make a mean sweet potato pie. She wears many hats; Camera Operator, Editor, Photographer and she also dabbles in Graphic & Web design. And we absolutely love her!

And not just because she let us hang out with her for hours while trying on vintage fur.

There’s really not enough that we could even say about Alexis to really let you all know just how much we love her around here. So … we begged and pleaded and she graced us with a few answers about her style.

How would you describe your signature style? “Ya’ll, I don’t have style. My girlfriend says I dress like an asian woman. Is that PC? Probably not. But I do have a love for big coats and jackets that drape like kimonos and I live for mandarin collars, oversized tees, boyfriend/mom jeans and flatforms (I’m short).”
At Khafra Company, we want to dress our clients for every moment of every day - for work or play. How do you decide what you’re wearing during the week?
“My profession actually encourages relaxed attire.” “So I can pretty much wear what I want everyday. Usual day: docs/flatforms, vintage tee/sweatshirt and skinny rolled up jeans.” At Khafra Company, we take style super seriously. What items in your wardrobe can you absolutely not live without? Why? What makes them so special? “That’s hard. I’m really not attached to anything. WOW! I know one thing that’s not fashion related that I can’t live without and recently that’s been my leather medicine pouch and healing stones.
If I had to pick though… I actually just splurged on two leather Jackets from Scotch & Soda and I honestly don’t know what I was wearing before I had those beauties in my life.” What 3 things are you most looking forward to adding to your wardrobe this season? “I’d like to add more dresses and playsuits to my wardrobe. I plan on traveling to a lot of warm places and moving to the west coast. In my mind, any place where it’s warm calls for loose-fitting, one-piece flowing things. I’m so down for living a carefree black girl experience. ”
At Khafra Company, we think that all of our clients and customers are slightly-more-than-fierce. What does that mean to you? “Great question. I guess it means that after all is said and done, we wear what we want. What makes us feel comfortable and confident at the same damn time. ”

Introducing… Alfie Fuller

…or 6 Pics TIPS Proving We Should All Be Wearing Sequins Year-Round

It’s not hard to figure out why we love actress and fashionista, Alfie Fuller .

Between her hair and her skin and her instagram and her hair and her killer style and her hair … Well you get it. She’s pretty much winning at life.

Lucky for us, she’s agreed to let us in on a few of her secrets. You know. Like … remaining incredibly poised and glam at all times … like toilet or theatre, bar or ballet, C-suite or C-store searching for the last pint of Ben & Jerry’s.

Or something close to that. Anyways … you know how every holiday season, you pick up or pass over like 6 sequin pieces … or patent leather pieces … or glittery bedazzled pieces … or something that screams “PLEASE! TAKE ME! Wear me to a fancy holiday party you’ll never get an invite to …and then never wear me again!” Come on … you know.

Well Alfie’s shared a few absolutely divine looks with us … just for you … so you can end that “NO! I’ll never be fabulous enough to wear this outside of my house” feeling forever!

**And what has she taught us?**

– Never be afraid of **mixing and matching** . Silver and gold? It’s not just your [granny’s favorite gospel song]( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KwnJDE5fjY ).

– When in doubt, **DO DENIM**. It works. It tones down absolutely any amount of glam you add to it. It says, “Yea … I put thought into this outfit. But not too much. Heck yea, I’m doing a lot. But not the most.”

– Sometimes, more is more . Actually, all the time. Never be afraid to take a shiny textured top and pair it with your favorite printed pant. Same color palette? All good. Not sure? Just go black. We’d make a joke about never having to go back here … but … It will not fail you.
– Layer. Layer. Layer. Got a fancy bottom? Tone it down with a couple loose-fitting tops. Shining bright like a diamond above the waist? Consider a skirt and opaque tights below.

– Whatever you do, do you. Whether you go full on glam goddess, or you keep it as simple as a sequin headband … just make sure your holiday pieces scream “GOOD GAWD, I’M FINE!” and not “GOOD LORD, I wish I wasn’t wearing my great aunt’s sapphire blue sequin sweat set.”

Work it out. Don’t let it work you.
And while you’re waiting for Alfie to come back around and show you more of her killer style … check out the pilot of her series, “Alfie Deals With F*cking Life.”

Look. Here’s What We Won’t Get Rid of in 2015

There are a lot of trends we’d like to see folks leave in 2014. But here are a few we’re not getting rid of anytime soon. First things first, we LOVE a good clog !

No one believed us when we first said they were making a comeback. But no one believed us about Birkenstocks either.

Trust us, the clog is going nowhere. At least not just yet. So you might as well stop by Owl N’ Wood and see if they’ve still got this pair!
Ok, we already checked. They only have them left in black. But shoot us an email and we’ll find you a perfect pair. We also need need need ok, maybe just want want want a wide-brimmed hat!

Lucky for us, we found the gem of all gems ( Shirley + Alice ) while in Brooklyn.

And then Shirley + Alice introduced us to this other gem. AND … they ship nationwide. swoons
We’ll still be buying high-fashion sneakers.

And by that we mean Pumas. So … between these Blaze of Glory beauties above from SoleSpace and Puma adding Rihanna to their list of creative directors , and Solange doing the most every day … We might need you to loan us a dollar or two. We’re good for it.

We always love ANYTHING from Galisfly !
      And PRINTS!
We’ll never give up on prints.
We literally will be making a stop at Show &Tell IMMEDIATELY following the holidays to pick this skirt up!

So that’s what’s on our list, folks … at least for right now.

Tell us! What are you looking for?
